Educational Visit to Vijayavani Printing Press
On 12th August 2026, students of I PUC, II PUC, Grade 11 and Grade 12, accompanied by their teachers, visited the Vijayavani Printing Press for an enriching educational experience.
The visit provided students with a fascinating insight into the journey of a newspaper from digital news layouts and aluminium printing plates to the high-speed printing, folding and distribution processes. They had the opportunity to witness advanced printing technology in action and understand how thousands of newspapers are produced every day.
Students were particularly amazed to learn about the scale of operations, with the press capable of producing nearly 30,000 newspapers per hour and around 3 lakh copies a day for regions including Bengaluru, Tumakuru and Hassan.
The experience also highlighted the vital role of skilled professionals, demonstrating how human expertise and technology work together to ensure efficiency and quality.
Adding a special touch to the visit, the students were delighted to discover that their educational visit was featured in the Vijayavani newspaper, making the experience truly memorable.
